It's been a lovely, short day. Funny how some days can drag on for ages and ages and you just want to go to bed from the moment you get up. Then you have ace days, like today, when nothing is really different from the long days, except perhaps that you got up on the right side of the bed, and you just don't get quite long enough to enjoy what it is that you're doing.
This morning involved some Mary Poppins on the telly, whilst me and Matthers played with the Castle Duplo, and made some fabulous turrets and towers, and decorated them with pink and orange Duplo flowers. You can't really go wrong with a bit of Duplo. We don't have a bit of Duplo; we have masses of Duplo. My dad had a mental Christmas a couple of years ago, for which he bought the boys several binbags' worth of toys. Fantastic! But very naughty at the same time: spoilt children.
It was Parents' Evening tonight, which we always enjoy because we have geniuses for children. Well, perhaps, who knows. But they do well, and try hard, and we're always proud of them, even if they don't quite achieve what they said they would on the First of September :) No worries here. Progress has been made by both little stars, and they've begun 2010/11 with confidence and energy. Can't ask for more than that.
Very tiny blog today, because I have to go and hub. And it's already almost midnight, and my eyelids are being held open with clothes pegs.
Night lovelies :)
